Cochin Port Trust on the 26th of May each year, celebrates "the Port Day" to commemorate the entry of the first vessel into the inner harbour of the Cochin Port on 26.05.1928.

On this day, the Port felicitates the stakeholders for their contribution in services to the Port and J.M. Baxi & Co. being a part, were awarded for the excellence in Business Performance in handling of cargo/passenger ships at the Cochin Port for the year 2021-22, the function was a success with complete attendance and celebrating the event with several cultural programmes, this event was organised at the picturesque, Samudrika Hall, North End of Willingdon Island.
